Criteria for admission to ITIs

Candidates should be permanent residents, dependant of Central & State Govt. employees and different Business/Pvt. Sector Enterprises inside Arunachal Pradesh.
The candidates having 14 years and above are eligible for admission. There is no bar of upper age limit for admission in ITI.
There will be no relaxation in qualification prescribed for the trades.
The selected candidates will have to join the Institute at a short notice at their own expenses.
30% of seats are reserved for women candidate in general ITIs.
20% of seats for admission in to ITIs in above trades are reserved for IMC of ITIs.
Applications forms are available with all District Industries Centres (DICs) of Arunachal Pradesh and the filled up applications are to be submitted along with attested copies of following documents to the JDIs/DDIs/ADIs of the concerned district.
List of documents required
Birth Certificate.
A Caste Certificate in case of ST/SC issued by competent authority
Academic qualification
Mark sheet of the examination passed and conduct certificate from the Head of the School/Institution last studied.
Attested true copy of School Leaving Certificate.
A Certificate from any recognises Medical Officer stating that the applicant physically fit to undergo practical training.
Two copies of Passport size photographs of the applicant duly attested

METHOD OF SELECTION

The candidate seeking admission in ITI will be required to appear in the written Admission Test which will be held on first week of June, every year in all Districts Headquarter. The candidates should collect necessary Admit Card from the office where they submit their application. No TA/DA shall be paid by the Govt. for appearing the test.

UNDERTAKING FROM TRAINEE

On joining the training institute, the candidates will be required to produce an undertaking to the Principal, ITI stating to maintain the discipline of the institute and take care of the tools, equipments and other property of the institute. If they failed to fulfil the terms and conditions of the undertaking, the Principal will have the right to recover any loss/damage from or delinquent the trainee as may deem fit.

HOSTEL FACILITIES

Trainee shall be provided free Hostel accommodation subject to availability of seats. Presently mess in contribution system is being run by the student under the supervision of Principal.

FEE

Free training (no tuition fee is charged) in case of Arunachal Pradesh ST Candidates. However, in case of Non-APST trainee, an amount of Rs. 20/- per month, per trainee will be charged as tuition fee in addition to the fee structure as given under and caution money are refundable after completion of the training session :-
Library (Caution money) :   Rs. 250/-
Institute (Caution money) :   Rs. 250/-
Hostel (Caution money) :   Rs. 500/- (For Hosteller only)
Registration Fee :   Rs. 10/-
Examination fee per semester :   Rs. 200/-
Total :   Rs. 1210/-

STIPEND

Stipend at the rate of Rs. 550/- per month, per trainee to the APST trainee will be admissible as per rules strictly subject to the academic progress and monthly attendance of the trainees and subject to Govt. order for continuance of Stipend. Stipend will be discontinued if desired progress of the trainee is not shown and remain unauthorised absence from attending classes. Further, merit scholarship is being awarded to the best trainee in each trade.

ISSUE AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM

Application Forms are available with all District Industries Centre (DICs) and fill up Forms to be submitted to the respective JDI/DDI/ADIs in the district headquarters.
Application forms will be issued to all candidates on payment of Rs.50/- per form.
Last date of submission of filled up applications is usually on first week of May every year.
Admission test will be held usually at respective Centre on first/second week of May every year.
Admission of selected candidates will usually start from 1st week of July till last week of July every year.
The training usually will commence from 1st August every year.
